Philadelphia Police are now investigating after a 16-year-old girl was seriously injured in a stabbing during a fight in the Olney section of Philadelphia. The fight happened just before 4 pm on Monday on the 5000 block of Rising Sun Avenue. The girl was stabbed in the side by an unknown weapon, she was then rushed to Einstein Medical Center in critical condition. No weapon was recovered at the scene and no arrests have been made as of yet.

Philadelphia Police officials have announced they have 150 new patrol cars with bulletproof windows on the way. The bulletproof glass will cover the front driver and passenger side windows, although it will not cover windshield. The glass will be resistant to pistol and shotgun ammunition. This modification to the patrol cars comes after two police officers were shot while sitting in their patrol cars last year. Along with the 150 patrol cars, 10 police wagons will also be renovated with bulletproof glass.

The president of the Radnor Township Board of Commissioners, Philip Ahr, has now resigned after he was arrested on child pornography charges. Ahr's resignation came about in a letter that was addressed to the township manager on Monday afternoon. The letter was later read at the township meeting, notifying other board members and community members of Ahr's resignation. However, he did state in his letter that he intends to continue as the commissioner of the 7th ward. Ahr was charged earlier this month with child pornography possession, child pornography dissemination, sexual abuse of children and criminal use of communication facility.
