A New Jersey woman has helped raise over $39,000 for a homeless man in Philadelphia who bought her gas with his last $20. Last month, Katie McClure of Florence Township ran out of gas on I-95 on her way into the city to visit a friend. "Johnny" saw her predicament and told her to stay in the car. He brought back a can of gas he purchased with his money so that Katie could be on her way. She didn't have any cash and was determined to repay him. She started by giving him the money as well as food and warm clothing when she would see him at his spot. However, she wanted to do more. She started a gofundme page with the hopes of securing an apartment, car, and living expenses for "Johnny" so he can get back on his feet. She says, "Truly believe that all Johnny needs is one little break. Hopefully with your help I can be the one to give it to him." Visit the the gofundme page here: https://www.gofundme.com/hvv4r-paying-it-forward

UPDATE: The gofundme fundraiser for Johnny has exploded over the past few days and is approaching $300,000. He has expressed how he wants to use the money to help more people besides himself.

Montgomery County authorities say that a husband and wife are now charged with murder after a drug deal gone wrong in Plymouth Township on Monday evening. 20-year-old Austin Parkinson and 20-year-old Lana Lare face first-degree murder and related offenses in the stabbing of 31-year-old Chad Konata of Collingdale. It happened in the parking lot of a shopping center on the 400 block of Ridge Pike. Surveillance footage shows the couple get in the back seat of the victim's car. A few minutes later they get out and run across the street. The car then starts to slowly roll through the parking lot until it bumps into another car across the lot. The driver was found dead inside due to multiple stab wounds. Authorities say that Parkinson and Lare arraigned to meet Konata to purchase heroin. The deal went sour and Konata was stabbed. The couple stole several bundles of the drugs worth around $800 and fled. They are now being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility without bail.

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill may be in prison, but that didn't stop his annual Thanksgiving holiday turkey giveaway. This is the 5th year of "The DreamChaser's Thanksgiving." Free turkeys will be given out at four locations: 11 a.m. at Unity in the Community at Point Breeze Avenue and Dickinson Street; 12 p.m. at Bible Way Baptist Church, 1323 North 52nd St.; 2 p.m. at Martin Luther King Recreation Center, 2101 Cecil B. Moore Ave.; and 3 p.m. at Strawberry Mansion Learning Center, Dauphin Street and North 30th Street. The tradition started in 2013 with 200 turkeys distributed. This year around 1,000 will be handed out.
