Pennsylvania is now on track to have driver's licenses and ID's ready for the REAL ID requirements needed for air travel. As of now, PennDOT officials will begin issuing REAL ID licenses starting in spring of 2019, but the federal deadline for air travel compliant licenses is this October. PennDOT stated, however, federal officials have given them a deadline till October 2020 to comply. Officials say that there will be 10 centers where you can get REAL ID licenses over the counter, other than that they will be mailed. A new licenses center will open up in King of Prussia to dispense over the counter REAL ID licenses and ID's.

Philadelphia Police are now investigating a double shooting that took place in the Gray's Ferry section. The shooting took place on the 1700 block of South Hollywood Street near Morris. Police say that a 21-year-old man was shot in the left hip and another victim was also shot. They were both transported to Penn-Presbyterian Hospital. The 21-year-old victim is listed in stable condition while the other victim is listed in critical condition. So far there are no arrests or a motive for the shooting.

Officials say that a police cruiser crashed in West Philadelphia while transporting a juvenile shooting victim to the hospital. The shooting took place at around 6:05 pm near 58th and Baltimore. After police arrived, one of the officers took the young victim to the hospital in his cruiser. The victim had been shot in the left thigh. On the way to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, the cruiser crashed at 57th and Walnut Streets. Police say that no injuries were reported in the accident.
