Man Hits Horse/Officer at Linc; Julie Ertz and Eagles' Win; Grease Pole, Dune Buggy, Spray Paint

Police report that most Philadelphians were well enough behaved before and after Sunday's NFC Championship. There was quite a lot of partying and revelry in the streets all over the city after the Philadelphia Eagles clinched their bid to Super Bowl LII, but most celebrations were peaceful. However, there were six Eagles' related arrests on Sunday. Two were disorderly conduct arrests and three were for counterfeit tickets. One man is accused of striking a Pennsylvania State Police Corporal and his horse. It happened before the game around 3:15 p.m. in lot M5 in the stadium complex. 19-year-old Andrew Tornetta refused to leave when the Corporal attempted to disperse the crowd. As the Corporal was escorting Tornetta away, he allegedly struck the horse and punched the officer in the face. He is charged with with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and related charges.

Julie Ertz, wife of Philadelphia Eagles' TE Zach Ertz and midfielder for the United States Women's soccer team, had one of the most positive and emotional reactions when she learned her husband was going to the Super Bowl. Julie was in San Diego and on the field playing when the Eagles won. The U.S. Soccer female player of the year even scored a goal in USA's 5-1 win over Denmark. The USWNT match started about an hour after the NFC Championship. Her reaction was caught on video as she learned of the big win right after her match ended. It was posted on the women's soccer Twitter. The soccer team has some time off now and a trip to Minneapolis is surely in the works for Mrs. Ertz.

Some people may have gotten a little out of hand in last night's celebrations. Despite the best efforts of the grease police and the crisco cops, a couple of fans were able to shimmy their way up a pole or two. No word on if those people got up a slimy post or perhaps an untreated one. No one was injured. A vandal spray painted 11 parked cars green along the 1500 block of North 16th Street near Temple University. At least one car had the entire windshield painted over and "Eagles" written on the hood. Temple Police are investigating. Finally, in perhaps the most brazen display on lawlessness, someone drove a dune buggy type ATV up and down the steps of the Art Museum after the game. They had horns blazing, music pumping, and lights flashing as they revved their engine and floored it up the musuem's steps. It was captured on video and posted to Twitter. See below:
