An 18-year-old high school student has been arrested after making a threat against a Delaware County high school. Upper Darby Police arrested and charged An-Tso Sun, from Bonner Prendergast High School, with terroristic threats and intent to terrorize another. Sun is an exchange student from Taiwan and has been in the United States since August on a student visa. A student informed officials of the threat after Sun told him not to attend school on a later date because he was going to shoot it up. Police later searched Sun's bedroom where they found numerous live rounds as well as other weapons and gear. Police also they have evidence that Sun was looking to buy an assault rifle. Sun's lawyer stated that his client "had not intention or plans" to commit a school shooting and that many items found in his house were things he wore to school for a Halloween costume. Sun is now being held on $100,000 bail (10 percent cash).

Members of a Quarkertown family are now facing charges after their father died from serious neglect as well as cashing their father's pension checks even after he passed. The victim, Albert Weaver Sr., passed away back in November 2016 after being hospitalized for starvation and septic shock from infected bedsores. The suspects include the victim's son 56-year-old Albert W. Weaver Jr, his wife 49-year-ol Virginia L. Weaver, their daughter 26-year-old Amanda Marie Weaver and her boyfriend 33-year-old Anthony James Dorney. The members were living rent-free in the victim's pair of houses on the 100 block of Union Road in Richland Township. Officials say that Dorney was the one who eventually called an ambulance for Weaver Sr. back on November 10, 2016. Upon arrival at the hospital, officials say that Weaver was so malnourished that his body had begun to consume his own tissues and organs for nourishment. All four of the suspects have been charged with neglect of care and recklessly endangering another person. Everyone but Weaver Jr. are charged with theft by unlawful taking, Amanda Weaver and Dorney are also charged with conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking. The suspects are now being held at $500,00 bail except for Virginia Weaver whose bail is set at $750,000.

The two men who are accused of killing Philadelphia Police Sgt. Robert Wilson appeared in front of a judge on Wednesday morning. The two suspects, Ramone Williams and Carlton Hipps, are charged with gunning down Wilson at a GameStop while he was buying a video game for his son back in 2015. The trial has now been set for late fall with a pretrial hearing set for June. Wilson's family was present in the courtroom and were frustrated by the news, the family is seeking the death penalty for the suspects. The decision for the death penalty is up in the air for now. This case will be the test for new DA Larry Krasner who ran his campaign on a commitment to not seek out the death penalty. A committee has been created by Krasner to decide whether the death penalty will be sought. Officials say that a decision should be made by June for the pretrial.
