A partially decomposed body was found wrapped in a tarp in a parking lot in Fairmount Park on Friday morning. A employee of the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Department was emptying trash cans in the parking lot near Martin Luther Kind Dr and Black Road at around 8 a.m. when he noticed the tarp. Shawn Deloach said that he went to move the carefully wrapped tarp but it was too heavy. Once he noticed the smell and the maggots he called police. The body was badly decomposed and authorities will have to wait on the medical examiner to determine age, gender, and cause of death. They believe it could have been placed there within the past two weeks.

A body was discovered outside of an apartment complex in Bucks County on Friday afternoon. Authorities are investigating after the body was found at the Penndel Apartments at 181 Robbins Ave. around 3 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.

A young girl was struck and killed by a vehicle in Camden this afternoon. It happened just before 4 p.m. on the 1200 block of Princess Avenue. The 5-year-old was taken to the Cooper Hospital but died at the hospital from her injuries. The driver remained at the scene. The investigation continues.
