A fast food worker is under arrest after throwing hot grease on customers during a dispute over an order at the drive-thru window. It happened around 3 a.m. at the Checkers on 58th and Baltimore Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia. Three woman in a car went through the drive-thru. When they received their order, they told the Checkers employee that there was something wrong with the order. The female employee would not correct the problem and the women refused to drive away. That's when the employee grabbed a cup of hot grease and threw it at the women in the car. When they still didn't drive away she threw more grease at them. The driver of the car had to be brought to the hospital with first degree burns. The other two were treated at the scene with minor burns. The employee was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Checker’s has issued a statement saying: "This incident occurred at a franchised restaurant on Baltimore Avenue. The franchisee is taking this incident very seriously, and the manager involved is no longer with the company. That behavior was completely unacceptable, and does not represent the values of the hundreds of Checkers employees who serve our Philadelphia guests every day. The franchisee is cooperating fully with the police in their investigation."

Authorities have charged a Bucks County man with criminal homicide after the body of his girlfriend was discovered in the truck of his car parked in his driveway. 42-year-old Jason Lutey is now in custody and is being held without bail for the death of 46-year-old Colleen Patterson. Lutey's sister called police on Friday, 9/7, around 8:30 pm and said that her brother killed his girlfriend at his home. When police arrived to the 100 block of Keeley Avenue in New Britain, Lutey told officers that Patterson's body was in his 2018 Toyota Highlander SUV outside. They found the body wrapped in a white cloth. The cause of death has not yet been determined. Lutey has been arraigned and a preliminary hearing is set for September 18.

A man has been arrested after accidentally shooting himself while running away from police in Delaware County on Saturday afternoon, 9/8. The Upland Borough Police say that an officer pulled over a white Lincoln Sedan for an expired inspection. As the officer approached the car he smelled marijuana. He asked the driver and passenger to provide identification and step out of the vehicle. That's when the driver, 20-year-old Keon Williams of Chester City, took off on foot. During the pursuit, Williams tried to pull the gun out from his waistband and ended up shooting himself in the lower body. He was sent to the hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries. He is being charged with weapons possession, narcotics possession, and related offenses. During the foot pursuit, the female passenger actually drove off in the car. Police have located the car and are searching for the female suspect. They do have her identification.
