A mother in New Jersey caught her 6-year-old son cheating on his math homework by asking Alexa the answers. 24-year-old Yerelyn Cueva of Paterson posted a video of her son Jariel asking their Amazon Echo, "Alexa, what’s five minus three?" The smart speaker responded, "Five minus three equals two." Cueva was in the other room when she heard her son asking the device the answers to his homework. She decided to film him in the act. The family only has had the device for about a week. Cueva said that she was surprised because math is the first grader's favorite subject. She plans to turn it off during homework time in the future.
