Philadelphia Police are searching for a man wanted for an attempted luring at a Germantown elementary school. It happened on Tuesday, 1/8, at Mastery Charter John Wister Elementary. The man tried to sign out two children, an 8-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl, by name. When school staff asked for ID, the man left. The children and the parents do not know who the man is. If you have any information you are asked to contact police.

A maintenance vehicle backed into an airplane at Philadelphia International Airport and became wedged underneath. It happened on Friday afternoon, 1/11, at Terminal C around 3:45 p.m. The American Airlines plane was sitting at the terminal. It was scheduled to fly Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina at 3:59 p.m. There were no passengers on board at the time and no injuries have been reported. Passengers were put on a different plane to get to their destination. Crews were able pull the vehicle out from underneath the aircraft. They are inspecting the plane for any damage.

A New Jersey man and woman have been indicted on animal cruelty charges after their dog died after being left on a balcony for hours during a heat wave last summer. 40-year-old Jonathon Correa and 28-year-old Kiara Martinez have been charged with one count of third-degree animal cruelty. They face up to 5 years in prison. It happened on July 1, 2017, at their apartment complex on Northrup Drive in Brick, Ocean County. They had left their female cane corso named "Princess" out on their balcony with the temperatures around 97 degrees. Neighbors called police when they saw the dog was unconscious and in severe distress. The owners where not around. The dog was taken to an animal hospital, but died two days later of complications from heat stroke.

The Philadelphia 76ers announced that they will retire Moses Malone's No. 2 jersey. The ceremony will be held at halftime vs. Denver Nuggets, Friday, Feb 8th. Malone t-shirts will handed out at the game. Malone is a Hall of Famer, 12-time All-Star, MVP (Finals & Season), and NBA Champion w/ '83 Sixers. He passed in September 2015.

Temple University has hired Northern Illinois coach Rod Carey to lead their football team. Carey was head coach at Northern Illinois for seven seasons. He had a record of 52-30 with six bowl appearances and won the 2013 Mid-American Conference coach of the year. Temple hopes their coaching merry-go-round has stopped. In early December, head coach Geoff Collins left for Georgia Tech. The Owls found and hired Miami Hurricanes defensive coordinator Manny Diaz to be their new coach. On December 30th, Hurricanes coach Mark Richt unexpectedly retired. Hours later, Diaz said goodbye to Temple and took the opening at Miami.
