There was a development in the case of a missing Malvern woman, who hasn't been seen since April 2017. 43-year-old Anna Maciejewska disappeared from her suburban Philadelphia home over a year-and-a-half ago. Today, 1/17, Pennsylvania State Police detectives and other officials served a search warrant on a townhome in West Chester. Officer used a ram to open the door to the house around 4 p.m. The home was originally owned by Maciejewska, but after she got married it was co-owned with her husband Allen Gould. Investigators believe the couple used the home for storage. They hope they can find some clues inside. Police believe that Maciejewska is dead and they are investigating a homicide. Shortly after her disappearance, her car was found abandoned. Gould has stopped cooperating with police and is considered a person-of-interest.

A Delaware County man has been sentenced to six to 12 years in prison for soliciting nude photos from male classmates online and then threatening to expose them. Derrick Jones, now 20, of Glenolden pled guilty in September 2018 to over a dozen charges. While he was a student at Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School in Upper Darby, Jones pretended to be a girl named Haley online. He made contact with and convinced several classmates to send 'Haley' nude photos and videos of themselves. Jones threatened his victims that he would post their pictures for others to see if they didn't keep sending 'Haley' new ones. In one case, Jones did post a 14-year-old victim's photos and invited his family and friends to view them. "They believed that they were receiving naked pictures of a teenage girl and so they were responding to Haley thinking that it was a teenage girl that was interested in them. Unfortunately, it was not," Delaware County District Attorney Jack Whelan said. Jones' actions continued after his 18th birthday.

Fire broke out next to train tracks in University City on Thursday evening, 1/17. It started around 6:30 p.m. near Civic Center Blvd (34th St) and Health Sciences Drive. A transformer blew and ignited a pile of railroad ties next to the tracks. SEPTA's Airport, Media/Elwyn, and Wilmington/Newark regional rail lines were suspended while firefighters put out the fire. Service has since resumed. No one was injured.
