Student Stabbed in Head w Scissors at Lincoln; Alligator In Drug Bust; Camden Girl Killed By Cop Car

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a student was stabbed in the head with a pair of scissors inside Lincoln High School in Mayfair on Thursday morning, 2/14. It happened around 9:30 a.m. at the school located on the 3200 block of Ryan Avenue. The Philadelphia School District says that a 20-year-old female was cut in the face underneath one eye by another female student during a fight. The victim was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in stable condition. A suspect was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered. No word on what led to the altercation.

Chester County authorities arrested three people last week on drug charges and found an alligator while searching the house. 31-year-old Irvin "Gotti" Hawkins, 35-year-old Aki Gathright, and 40-year-old Tyrone Jackson are being charged with drug trafficking and other related offenses. Police searched their home on the 100 block of Gibbons Avenue in South Coatesville on Feb. 8. They recovered heroin, crack cocaine, suspected fentanyl, cash, and drug packaging materials. They also found a a three-foot-long alligator living in the kitchen. It was taken to the Brandywine Zoo in Wilmington, Delaware. The men are currently in Chester County Prison. It is not illegal to keep an alligator as a pet in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced a major drug bust in the Kensington section of Philadelphia on Thursday, 2/14. The operation and investigation involved numerous agencies. 160 officers served warrants on 13 homes and 15 vehicles early Thursday morning. Eleven people were arrested and authorities seized crack, heroin, fentanyl, multiple handguns, and $13,000 cash. This drug trafficking organization profited around $8 million annually.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office is investigating after a 17-year-old girl was struck and killed by a Camden County Police Department vehicle on Wednesday night, 2/13. It happened around 10 p.m. near the intersection of East State Street and Harrison Avenue in East Camden’s Cramer Hill neighborhood. The unnamed police officer was responding to a call and had his lights and sirens on when he struck 17-year-old Nerreada Robles. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The officer has been placed on administrative leave during the investigation.
