Two gunmen fired dozens of shots at an SUV carrying a family as it tried to escape last night in Southwest Philadelphia. Police arrived to find the vehicle flipped on it's side, but the occupants were all OK. It happened just before 6:30 p.m. on the 6600 block of Upland Street. The 28-year-old woman was driving the Jeep and dropping off her 37-year-old husband. Their 2-year-old son was in the back seat. The two gunmen approached and started firing. The father jumped back into the SUV and the mother started reversing down the street. The gunmen continued to run after the vehicle firing shots. The SUV hit a parked car which caused it to flip. The mother and son suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment. 28 shots were fired. The suspects got into an accident while fleeing the scene at 70th and Cobbs Creek Parkway in Yeadon, Delaware County. Police have one suspect in custody.

Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced the arrest of a man for allegedly stealing six Philadelphia properties. 40-year-old Robert Stoke is charged with 13 counts of forgery, seven counts of theft by deception, nine counts of tampering with records or identification and other related charges. The six properties are on the 1500 block of South Lambert Street and the 1500 block of South Capitol. Investigators found that he forged the signatures on the deeds and used a counterfeit notarization and stamp. The legal owners either were unaware of the transaction or were dead.

"Last month we announced the prosecution of several house thefts, and today I'm pleased to announce the prosecution of another person who thought that it was okay to steal properties belonging to poor people, the elderly, and the deceased,” Krasner said. “I'd like to thank our governmental partners for their cooperation, the office's Economic and Cyber Crimes Unit, and take this opportunity [to] remind everyone to protect their estate and contact us at 215-686-9902 if they think their home has been stolen."

Authorities in Willingboro have been investigating after the body of a woman was found dead in her car parked on the street early Thursday morning, 3/7. 21-year-old Maribely Lopez was found shot to death around 8:20 a.m. Lopez is from Lindenwold about 30 minutes away. On Thursday night, SWAT teams and police searched a home about a block away on Marlboro Lane. They took photos of evidence and towed three cars. On Friday, authorities were searching a field, possibly for a weapon. The Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office is asking anyone with information to come forward.
