The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) has ordered an emergency removal of all children currently remaining at the Glen Mills School in Delaware County following allegations of abuse and cover-ups spanning decades. All children remaining at the reform school, located about 25 west of Philadlephia, "will be removed and relocated as soon as this can be safely accomplished." There are 64 students left at the school, 21 from Pennsylvania and 43 from eight other states. "As the investigation into allegations raised in recent reporting continues, we must do what is necessary to ensure that no more children are at risk of physical and emotional harm," said DHS Secretary Teresa Miller. "This removal is one step of an on-going process, and DHS is committed to seeing this investigation through to ensure that any individual responsible for endangering the welfare of children and coercing silence can be held responsible. As this investigation continues, it is important that we understand the full scope of incidents and mistreatment that occurred at this school. I encourage any former students or their families, Glen Mills staff, or anyone else to share their story." Philadelphia Police have identified and charged a man with the deadly shooting of a bar employee last week in Germantown. 25-year-old Robert Lumpsin was charged with murder, VUFA-former convict, VUFA-no license, robbery, and related offenses. It happened on Thursday, 3/21, at 2 a.m. at the DelMar Lounge on the 300 block of Chelten Avenue. Lumpsin waited inside at the bar until closing time and all of the other customers left. He then pulled a gun and announced a robbery. He fired a single shot and hit 58-year-old Jeffrey Johnson in the chest. Johnson was a longtime employee and worked as a bar back. Rumpsin went through the victim's pockets and stole $200 from the bartender. His face was clearly seen on numerous cameras installed in the bar.

Police are investigating a deadly road rage incident in West Philadelphia on Friday morning, 3/22. It happened around 9:15 a.m. near N. 52nd and Warren Streets. The suspect was driving a mid-to-late 2000s Chrysler 300. The car was going south on 52nd Street when it almost hit a gold-colored GMC Terrain. An argument between the two broke out. Shaquille Mack, a passenger of the GMC, got out of the vehicle. That is when he was shot. The bullet struck his arm and went into his chest. He died at the hospital. Mack was in the GMC with his children and their mother. The suspect's Chrysler has black tinted windows, a dent on the rear passenger-side wheel well, and the rear passenger door missing a molding. If you have any information, call 911.
