A 44-year-old man is in custody after intentionally running over a group of people in North Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon, 4/16. It happened just before 4 p.m. at 16th and Lehigh Avenue. After an altercation, the man tried to hit people while driving a Buick Century. Three men and three women were injured, ages 17 to 42 years old. A 37-year-old man was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The driver was pulled from the car and assaulted by passersby. He was taken to the hospital for head and facial injures. He was arrested at the hospital.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after the body of a man was inside a U-Haul garage on Tuesday evening, 4/16. It happened at 7:51 p.m. on the 6200 block of Chelwynde Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia. The victim is a man in his early 30's. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are not sure if he was shot or stabbed at this time. If you have any information call police at 215-686-TIPS.

UPDATE: Police have identified the victim as 39-year-old Khalil Hicks of the 7100 block of Hummingbird Place. No arrests have been made.

A man accused of helping his cousin lure several men to a Bucks County farm, kill them, rob them, burn them, and then bury them wants his confession thrown out. 22-year-old Sean Kratz rejected a plea deal in the case. His cousin, Cosmo DiNardo, already pled guilty and received multiple life sentences in the 2017 murders. Defense attorney A. Charles Peruto Jr. says that Kratz did not fully understand the deal's conditions and his statements shouldn't be used at trial. He rejected an offer calling for a 59 to 118-year sentence.

Tom Wolf, Phillies owner John Middleton, Charlie Manual, Jimmy Rollins, Mike Schmidt, Larry Bowa, John Kruk, Gabe Kapler, Bryce Harper, Aaron Nola, Odubel Herrera, Andrew McCutchen, and more were on stage during the announcement. Philadelphia has hosted the midsummer classic twice before. Both times were at Veteran's Stadium, in 1976 coinciding with the Bicentennial and again in 1996.
