Police believe that a 46-year-old man shot and killed inside his Roxborough apartment on Saturday evening, 6/8, was part of a multi-million drug ring and that he was killed during a robbery. It happened around 7:30 p.m. on the 7900 block of Henry Avenue. Neighbors heard the gunshots and then saw two men drive off in a dark Nissan Maxima. The victim was shot in the chest. He was taken to Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Police found 20 kilos of cocaine inside the apartment worth $2 million. There were additional kilos found outside that the men allegedly dropped as they were fleeing the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

A massive 4-alarm fire destroyed a garage in Frankford on Saturday evening, 6/8, that housed several tenants. It started around 9:15 p.m. at Adams Avenue and Church Street. Sparks from an electrical socket started the fire inside Vans Exclusive Auto Shop. The fire quickly spread to other parts of the building. One hundred seventy firefighters were on scene to fight the fire. No one was injured but Varien Harris, the owner of the auto body shop, says his dog Queenie died in the blaze.

The 31st annual Philadelphia Pride Parade was held on Sunday, 6/9, in Center City. It started at 13th and Locust and made its way 1.5 miles past Independence Mall and culminating with the Pride Festival at Penn's Landing. This year's theme celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York City and the start of the LGBT civil rights movement. For more information on the parade click here. June is Pride Month. Here are more events happening month.
