Missing Drexel Student Found Dead in LA; Man Convicted of Killing Villanova Prof; Great White in NJ

A Drexel University student that had been missing since last week was found dead in Los Angeles. 19-year-old Andrew Yun was last seen on Wednesday, 6/12, at Towers Hall on the 100 block of North 34th Street. He was a first-year student at the Westphal College of Media Arts and Design. There were no signs of foul play. "Drexel officials have been in close contact with Andrew's family and conveyed the entire Drexel community's sincerest condolences," said a statement from Drexel. "Andrew showed great promise and potential in his first year at Drexel. His loss is deeply felt by all of us in the Drexel community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Yun family during this most difficult time. We will continue to support them in any way possible."

A Philadelphia jury has convicted a handyman of stabbing a retired Villanova astronomy professor to death. 48-year-old Jose Diaz was then sentenced to life without parole. Diaz was accused of killing 69-year-old Carol Ambruster in her apartment in 2013 after she walked in and surprised him while he was robbing her. The jury only deliberated for 30 minutes to decide the case. Prosecutors say he needed money for drugs. The defense argued that her roommate had killed her.

Some fisherman in New Jersey had a close encounter of the great white kind on Monday. Jeff Crilly posted the videos and photos taken on his boat "Big Nutz Required II" about 30 miles off the coast of Manasquan Inlet. He estimates the great white shark was about 16 ft. It circled the boat for a while and got real close. It chewed on the chum bag a bit more before swimming off. It was an experience these fishermen were not expecting and they have the proof it happened.
