Upper Darby Police are asking the public's help after an hours old baby was found wrapped in a blanket on the side porch of someone's home on Tuesday afternoon, 7/30. It happened around 12:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Englewood Road. Terrell Phillips found the infant wrapped in a white towel with the umbilical cord still attached lying on his neighbor's porch. The baby girl had also been cleaned up. He first called his neighbor and asked if they knew anything about a baby, which they had no idea, and then he called 911. The baby was taken to Delaware County Memorial Hospital and is doing fine. Phillips says he was outside around 9 a.m. and the baby was not there. She may have been sitting there for a few hours in the 90-degree heat before he found her. Pennsylvania has a Safe Haven Law that allows mothers to leave unharmed newborns at a hospital or with a police officer at a police station within 28 days and not face charges. When found the mother of this child may face reckless endangerment charges. Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 610-734-7693

Former Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane is set to be released from Montgomery County Correctional Facility on Wednesday, 7/31. She will have served a little more than 8 months of her 10-23 month sentence for perjury and obstruction. 53-year-old Kane is getting out two months earlier than her minimum time sentenced for good behavior. Her original sentence includes three years probation following incarceration. Kane was convicted of leaking grand jury information to hurt a political rival and then lying about it to a separate grand jury.

A former Downingtown borough police officer and school resource officer is under arrest after having an inappropriate relationship with an underage student. 44-year-old Stefanie Dunne is charged with one count of corruption of minors. Dunne was a police officer and served as the school resource officer at Downingtown West High School. The student in question is 17-years-old. They met when he was a 9th grader. On May 4, the two were caught in various stages of undress in the back of a car parked in an area of Struble Trail on Dorlan Mill Road by Upper Uwchlan Police. A search of their phones found thousands of sexual texts and some racy photos. "The Downingtown Police Department is extremely shocked and disappointed to learn of the actions of the ex-police officer," said Downingtown Police Chief Howard Holland. First Assistant District Attorney Michael Noone stated, "This defendant betrayed her oath to enforce the law and protect children. She abused her position to have an inappropriate relationship with a student. This kind of behavior is unacceptable." Dunne is a married mother of four young children. Her bail was set at $50,000 unsecured. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 11.
