Attempted Abduction Caught on Video; Eagles Fans Fight Sixer Mike Scott; NJ Woman Stabs Mom

Philadelphia Police are searching for a suspect wanted in an attempted abduction in North Philadelphia on Sunday morning, 9/8. The incident was caught on video around 10 a.m. on the 800 block of North 15th Street. The suspect can be seen grabbing the woman. She then screams and hits the man while she struggles to get away. The suspect eventually lets her go. He walks away and she crossed the street where other people were walking. Police came and took a statement. The suspect is described as a black man between 40 and 50 years old, about 5-foot-8 with a medium build and balding. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a hood, white shirt, dark blue jeans and black shoes. If you have any information call police at 215-686-3090.

Philadelphia 76ers forward Mike Scott allegedly got into an altercation with some Eagles fans at a tailgate party before Sunday's Eagles-Redskins game at Lincoln Financial Field. Scott has become a fan favorite in his time as a Sixer and has endeared himself to the city by responding to invitations and showing up to events to meet the fans. He is personally a Redskins fan and wore his jersey and hat to the game. That apparently didn't sit well with one group of tailgaters who tried to start a fight with the 6' 8” 237 lb professional athlete. They did have a casket draped with a Washington jersey as part of their setup, so maybe that was a message to avoid the area. Anyway, there were no arrests and Scott stuck around to snap selfies with fans. "We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering more information. We will have no further comment at this time," the Sixers said in a statement.

Video of the Incident:

A Burlington County woman has been charged in the stabbing death of her mother inside their apartment on Friday morning, 9/6. 23-year-old Marisa Rivera (see photo below) is charged with first-degree murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon in the death of her mother 56-year-old Denise DeNapoli. It happened around 3:30 a.m. in the apartment they shared in the Ramblewood Village Apartments in Mount Laurel. Police discovered DeNapoli's body during a wellness check after she did not show up for work on Friday. Rivera was found late Friday night at a hotel on Route 73 and arrested without incident. The motive for the killing is still under investigation.

Sports
Former Philadelphia Eagles and current Jacksonville Jaguars QB Nick Foles is out indefinitely after suffering a fractured left clavicle. Foles was hurt after the throw on a 35-yard touchdown pass to DJ Chark in the first quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs and left the game. He was hit by defensive tackle Chris Jones.
