An Amber Alert has now been issued for 5-year-old Dulce Maria Alavez who went missing from a park in Bridgeton, NJ, on Monday, 9/16. She vanished sometime before 5 p.m. from Bridgeton City Park. She was last seen by her mother playing on the playground with her 3-year-old brother. Noema Alavez Perez says that she was nearby at their car with an 8-year-old relative when suddenly Dulce was gone. After searching the park she reported her missing to police. Extensive searches of the park that included volunteers form the community came up empty. After conducting further interviews, police now believe that she was lured away. The suspect is described as a light-skinned, possibly Hispanic, man, standing 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 with a thin build. He was wearing orange sneakers, red pants and a black shirt. He was driving a red minivan with a sliding door and tinted windows. Dulce Alavez is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 3' 5" tall and of a medium build. Alavez was last seen wearing a yellow shirt with an elephant, black and white checkered long pants with a flower design and white sandals. Her dark-colored hair was in a ponytail. If you have any information, please call police at 856-451-0033 or text anonymously to TIP411.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating human remains uncovered in a storage facility in Philadelphia's Frankford section on Monday, 9/16. The discovery was made around 3:30 p.m. at the Safeguard Self Storage facility in Northeast Philadelphia. Authorities believe the remains belong to Brenda Jacobs of Williamsport, Lycoming County, who went missing in 2003. She was 37 and a mother of two. State Troopers acted on a tip which led them to the storage locker. Jacobs' ex-boyfriend, 49-year-old Jade Babcock, has been arrested and charged with abuse of a corpse, obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence. Babcock had bragged about putting her remains in the locker to another person. That person told state police.

UPDATE: Babcock has reportedly confessed to the murder of Jacobs according to the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office. He is being held without bail. The Lycoming County District Attorney's Office is expected to file homicide charges. Although Jacobs had not been seen since 2003, her family did not report her missing until 2013.

Pennsylvania State Senator Mike Folmer has resigned after being charged late Tuesday with possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility, both felonies. Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati and Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman confirmed in a statement that they received his resignation letter. Investigators discovered two images of child pornography on Folmer's phone after acting on a tip from social media. The Republican represented the 48th district which includes all of Lebanon County and part of Dauphin and York Counties.

Sports
The Philadelphia Eagles canceled full practice in favor of a walk through on Wednesday. Head coach Doug Pederson explained that injuries affected the decision. A short week next week before heading out to Green Bay was also probably a factor. The Eagles play the Detroit Lions at home this Sunday 1 p.m.
