Two Chester County parents have been arrested after their 11-month-old son overdosed on heroin while the pair were high and asleep in a car. A relative found the trio inside their car parked behind their home on Wednesday night, 9/25, on Limestone Road in West Fallowfield Township. The parent's had taken heroin and fallen asleep leaving their child to his own devices. The boy got a hold of some of the drugs and ingested it. First responders administered three doses on Narcan and took the child to A. I. duPont Hospital in Delaware. He is recovering from the overdose. The parents, Kristen Bristow and Charles Salzman, Jr., were taken to Chester County prison. Numerous bags of heroin and paraphernalia were recovered from the car.

A Bucks County doctor was arrested on Wednesday, 9/25, and is facing federal charges tied to a scheme involving defrauding health care systems and distributing controlled substances. Federal agents searched Dr. Neil Anand's Bensalem home on Wednesday. He is charged with felony counts of health care fraud and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. He ran three pain management and addiction offices in the area. Anand would provide "goody bags" to patients containing various drugs like oxycodone, sedatives, muscle relaxers, and anti-inflammatory drugs. He would also leave signed, but not filled out, prescription pads in the office for other staff to finish. Prescriptions were given not based on medical need, but by what a patient's insurance would cover. Authorities say the scheme ran from November 2015 to July 2019 and cost insurers $4 million. Three others have been charged.

Ground was broken on Wednesday, 9/25, in the South Philadelphia sports complex on a new e-sports arena. The $50 million Fusion Arena is being built next to Xfinity Live and will be the home to the Philadelphia Fusion e-sports team. The 3,500 seat area will be the largest dedicated e-sports arena in the western hemisphere.
