Philadelphia Police are asking the public's help in finding three suspects wanted in an armed robbery in the city's Olney neighborhood on Thursday, 10/3. It happened around 11:40 a.m. at Universal Graphics on the 5900 block of North 5th Street. It was caught on store surveillance cameras. Three suspects, two armed with handguns, forced employees to the ground and bound them with duct tape. The made off with $40,000 in cash and cell phones. The employeess were able to free themselves and one attempted to chase after the robbers. The suspects fired one shot but no one was injured. If you have any information, contact Philadelphia police.

Pennsylvania health officials have confirmed the first person's death in the state related to vaping. They also report that there are 9 confirmed and 12 probable cases of vaping-related lung illness. They are investigating 63 additional cases. "The lung injury cases are very serious, life-threatening and even fatal," Pennsylvania Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine said in a statement. "We do not yet know what is making people sick, and whether the illnesses are related to products being used, or potentially the delivery of those products. I strongly urge everyone who is vaping illegally bought products, in particular those with THC, to stop. In addition, there could be possible risks with legally purchased products. We want to warn people that investigations are ongoing and we advise they use extreme caution before using any vaping product at this time." New Jersey and Delaware have also recently reported vaping-related deaths and illness.

Two eighth grade students were arrested on Friday, 10/4, for making terroristic threats that prompted a lockdown at their Northeast Philadelphia middle school. It happened at Labrum Hancock Middle School in Northeast Philadelphia. The school was placed on lockdown at 9:42 a.m. and it was lifted at 10:26 a.m. According to the Philadelphia School District, the two boys threatened to "shoot up the school" and made reference to the deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. They were both taken into custody.
