Philadelphia Police uncovered a cockfighting ring while serving an unrelated warrant early Tuesday morning, 10/8, in Kensington. Police went to serve a homicide warrant around 6:30 a.m. at an abandoned home on the 3100 block of Weymouth Street. Inside the house, they found dozens of caged roosters and a bedroom they believe was used for fighting. More roosters were found in the basement of the occupied house next door. A third house on the block was also searched. One man was arrested. A woman was also arrested for biting a cop while they were arresting the man. They are still investigating the animal cruelty case. The roosters were removed by the Pennsylvania SPCA.

Police are investigating after a female jogger was attacked in the Spring Garden section of Philadelphia on Tuesday evening, 10/8. It happened just before 6 p.m. on the 2200 block of Wallace Street. The 30-year-old woman says she was jogging along and as she was passing a man he suddenly punched her in the face for no reason. She was knocked to the ground and the man kicked her before fleeing. The man is described as 6' tall, thin build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and light gray sweatpants. She is in stable condition. The attacker is on the loose. If you have any information call police at 215-686-TIPS.

UPDATE: 10/10/19 43-year-old Prevarious Fowler was arrested and charged with simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

The Wells Fargo Center has unveiled a new "Disassembly Room" available for fans to destress during upcoming Philadelphia Flyers games. The first-ever rage room built inside a major sports arena will allow fans to use weapons such as a baseball bat, metal pipe, crow bar, hockey stick, etc. to smash and crush items. "The concept is definitely one-of-a-kind and non-traditional," said Valerie Camillo, President of Business Operations of Philadelphia Flyers and the Wells Fargo Center. "We ran the concept by some of our fans who told us they thought this would be a fresh way to have some harmless fun. I had never heard of a rage room before the design team pitched the idea. Now, I can’t wait to get in there and take a few whacks." You must purchase separate Disassembly Room tickets, sign a waiver, wear closed toe shoes, and set an appointment.
