Philadelphia Police are still looking for the driver in a fatal hit-and-run accident over the weekend that killed a young man who was out walking his dog. Family has identified the victim as 26-year-old Michael Canals. Canals was walking his dog Rosie along the 700 block of West Berks Street on Saturday afternoon, 10/26, when he was struck by a dark green Pontiac minivan with heavy tint. He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Rosie was taken to Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia and also succumbed to her injuries. Police did recover the van a short time later but have not found the person who was driving. Canals was a graduate of Drexel University in Entertainment and Arts Management. He worked at several music venues around the city including The Fire and The Fillmore. He was currently working at The Met Philadelphia. For information on services go here.

Officials in Cape May County are warning parents to be vigilant after a baggie of heroin was found in a child's Halloween candy over the weekend. Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland says that the substance found did test positive for the drug, but that this was also an isolated incident. The mother of the child found a plastic baggie with a piece of paper inside and the substance after a Trunk or Treat event on Friday, 10/25, in Rio Grande, Middle Township, New Jersey. "I looked at it twice and I said, 'Wait, this is not candy,'" she said. Remember to check through your child's candy before allowing them to eat any. If you find anything suspicious call your local police.

A neighbor's doorbell camera caught a dramatic DUI crash in West Chester early Monday morning, 10/28. 30-year-old Kyle Chandler Sims of Conshohocken was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, DUI, and other related charges. It happened at 12:15 a.m. on South Adams Street, near Justin Drive. Pennsylvania State Police report that Sims pulled up next to a trooper a few blocks from the crash and started to chat. He then took off and turned onto Adams. In the video you can see him run the stop sign and then crash through seven parked cars along the road. Car alarms started blaring and lights flashing. Sims apparently rolled out of his vehicle and tried to run away, but troopers were right behind him and he did not get very far. He is being held at Chester County Prison on $50,000 bail.
