22-year-old Sean Kratz of Philadelphia was automatically sentenced to life without parole by a Bucks County judge today after prosecutors took the death penalty off the table. The DA consulted with the victims' families before making that decision. Kratz was convicted of first-degree murder, second degree murder, and robbery in the death of Dean Finocchiaro. He was also found guilty of two counts of voluntary manslaughter in the deaths of Thomas Meo and Mark Sturgis. He was convicted of abuse of corpse in all three. Kratz received an additional sentence of 18-36 years for these other crimes. The homicides took place in 2017 on his cousin Cosmo DiNardo's family farm in Solebury. DiNardo pled guilty to the deaths of these men as well as a fourth victim Jimi Patrick last year. He was also sentenced to life in prison. Defense Attorney Charles Peruto says he will appeal.

Police are looking for the public's help in identifying a young girl whose remains were found in a Delaware park in September. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the Delaware Division of Forensic Science are working with Smyrna police. New forensic reconstruction photos of what the girl may have looked like have been released (see photos below). The girl was found on September 13th at Little Lass fields in Smyra. She is Caucasian or Hispanic, 2-5 years old, with wavy brown hair. Officials believe she was dead for several weeks before she was found on 9/13. They also believe she had a chronic illness. This girl was found three days before Dulce Maria Alavez went missing on 9/16 in New Jersey. If you have any information, call the Smyrna Police Department, Crime Stoppers, and/or The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Police in Collingswood, New Jersey, are investigating after a man was found shot inside an apartment building on Sunday night, 11/17. It happened around 10:20 p.m. at the The Parkview at Collingswood on the 500 block of North Newton Lake Drive. Police arrived to find 26-year-old Jose Morel suffering from several gunshot wounds in the lobby of the building. He was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he died a short time later. No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
