SEPTA Transit police announced that they have arrested the suspect wanted for stabbing two teens on the Broad Street Line last week. The double stabbing happened last Friday, 11/22, around 9 a.m. on the subway between the Logan Station and Olney Transportation Center. The two 17-year-old victims got off the subway at Olney and walked to nearby Albert Einstein Medical Center. SEPTA Transit Police Chief Thomas Nestel says that the suspect was captured after he got into an argument with his landlord. The landlord then called police. His name has not been released.

A man cleaning his gun accidentally shot himself and his young son in Southwest Philadelphia on Wednesday morning, 11/27. It happened around 11:30 a.m. inside a home on the 5300 block of Thomas Avenue. The 47-year-old man was cleaning the firearm when it went off, hitting himself in the hand and his 9-year-old son in the side. Both were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center by police and are in stable condition. Police are investigating the incident.

A 16-year-old boy was shot and critically injured in Kensington on Wednesday. It happened just before noon on the 2000 block of East Cambria Street. The teen was shot in the chest and arm. He was transported to Temple University Hospital in critical condition. No arrests have been made. Police are investigating. If you have information call police at 215-686-TIPS.
