Philadelphia Police have a break in the case of tire slashing vandalism that has run rampant in the North East without any clues for months. They now have surveillance footage from 9:30pm on Thursday night showing a young man slashing the tires of two cars at Cottman and Rowland avenues. There were a total of 9 vehicles vandalized that night.

The person in the video calming slashes the tires of one car, then goes across the street and hits another. The whole incident lasts under a minute. He knew exactly what he was doing. There have been 80-90 vehicles vandalized since this has started back in October. The vandal(s) cost citizens thousands and thousands of dollars and the fear of waking up to flat tires.

Police do not know if the person works alone or in a group. They do caution anyone from approaching the individual, he does carry a very sharp knife. If you have any information or recognize the person in the video, call Philadelphia Police. There is a $7500 reward for any information leading to the suspect’s arrest and conviction.
