Democratic New Jersey Rep. Jeff Van Drew is planning to switch political parties and become a Republican. Van Drew represents New Jersey's 2nd Congressional District, including Atlantic and Cape May Counties. He has already gone against his caucus and voted against the impeachment inquiry and is expected to vote against articles of impeachment this coming week. Six staff members have resigned since Sunday, 12/16, citing the coming shift in party affiliation.

Philadelphia Police say that two women were discovered dead inside a home by two juveniles in the city's Cedarbrook neighborhood. It happened around 3:30 p.m. on the 8400 block of Cedarbrook Avenue. The two children discovered the bodies inside when they came home from school. The two women were unresponsive and were suffering from head wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene. A gun was found next to one of the victims. The exact time of death is not known at this time. If you have any information call police at 215-686-TIPS.

UPDATE: The two women were a married couple, ages 50 and 38. Police believe this was a murder-suicide. The 12-year-old and 6-year-old boys are being cared for by relatives.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents seized three boxes containing 37 counterfeit Louis Vuitton handbags from Hong Kong. They initially arrived on November 25 and were headed for a residence in Logan Township, NJ. The were labeled as "Lady Bag Samples." If the bags were authentic, the street value would have been around $130,000. "Customs and Border Protection officers encounter a wide variety of counterfeit consumer goods, like these trademark-infringing handbags, and we continue to work with our trade and consumer safety partners to identify and seize counterfeit products when we encounter them," said Casey Durst, Director of Field Operations for CBP's Baltimore Field Office.
