State Police Investigate Drive-by in Lehigh County; Cab Driver Shot in Mantua; Shootout in Frankford

Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a vehicle after several shots were fired into the home of an elderly couple in Lehigh County early Saturday morning, 12/28. It happened before 2:30 a.m. on the 6200 block of Clover Lane in Lower Macungie Township. Several bullets made it inside the first floor of the house. The 85-year-old man and 68-year-old woman were not injured. Police have released the photo of a car believed to have been involved. A 53-year-old cab driver is in critical condition after being shot in an attempted robbery in the Mantua section of Philadelphia early Saturday morning, 12/28. It happened around 4 a.m. on the 600 block of North 37th Street near Spring Garden Street. The taxi was parked when the driver was shot in the stomach. He then proceeded to drive another two blocks before hitting a small tree. He was rushed to Presbyterian Medical Center. The suspect fled the scene. Philadelphia Police are investigating after a shootout in the Frankford section on Saturday night, 12/28. It happened around 5:30 p.m. along Pratt Street between Horrocks Street and Frankford Avenue. Two cars were involved apparently shooting at each other. One of the cars crashed into several parked cars along the 1200 and 1700 blocks of Pratt Street. Police are searching for the gunman involved. There have been no reported injuries. If you have any information call police at 215-686-TIPS.
