A Bucks County man is under arrest after he beat and raped a woman he held captive in his home on New Year's Day. 48-year-old Curtis Fish is charged with rape, kidnapping to inflict injury or terror, aggregated assault, and related charges. The woman was able to escape out a window and call police around 8 p.m. Wednesday, 1/1. Authorities then responded to the home on the 2000 block of Hilltown Pike in Hilltown Township. Fish barricaded himself in the house and police finally took him into custody 11 hours later on Thursday morning after entering the home. The woman, who is an acquaintance of Fish, was badly beaten and taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital. Fish appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was taken to Grand View Hospital. He is being held on $850,000 bond.

A SEPTA Regional Rail train struck a vehicle in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County on Thursday morning, 1/2. It happened around 9:50 a.m. near South and Paxon Aves in Wyncote near the Jenkintown-Wyncote Station. The train on SEPTA's Warminster Regional Rail Line struck the front end of a white sedan. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital to be treated. There were 90 passengers on the train at the time. No one else was injured. The crash caused about a 20 minute delay on the Warminster and Lansdale/Doylestown lines.

Authorities in Burlington County, New Jersey, are investigating a possible murder-suicide after the bodies of a couple were found dead on Thursday morning, 1/2. Police were called by a neighbor around 8:45 a.m. to the Willow Pointe Apartments at Salem Road and Willow Way in Burlington Township to perform a wellness check. Officers discovered 30-year-old Kristopher Corry and 28-year-old Tianna Drummond dead inside. The Burlington Township Police Department and the Prosecutor's Office will be investigating.
