Philadelphia Police have released a photo of 17-year-old Xavier Johnson who is accused of killing his foster mother and another man in separate incidents. Johnson is charged with (2) Counts of Murder, (2) Counts of Robbery, (2) Counts of Possessing Instruments of Crime, (2) Counts of Tamper With Evidence, (2) Counts of Obstruction of Justice, Abuse Corpse, Theft-Receiving Stolen Property. He stabbed to death 64-year-old Renee Gilyard and stole her SUV. He also killed 20-year-old Jimmy Mao, placed his body in a duffel bag, and threw it down a hill. Mao and Johnson once lived together in the same foster home.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a man was found dead inside his home in East Mount Airy on Friday afternoon, 1/17. It happened around 1:30 p.m. on the 2200 block of East Washington Lane. 26-year-old Darrell Bailey was discovered by his uncle on his couch. He was shot twice in the head. Detectives say that he was shot around 5 or 6 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. They do not think this was a random shooting. No arrests have been made.

The body of a New Jersey woman that had been missing for 6 years was found in a car at the bottom of the Salem River on Thursday, 1/16. 52-year-old Vanessa Smallwood was last seen on January 27, 2014 in Cherry Hill. The Walker Diving Underwater Construction Company was removing debris from the bottom of the river in Salem, NJ, when they spotted the car with human remains inside. The State Police Marine Services Bureau removed the car and the Southern Regional Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Smallwood. It is not yet known how or when the car ended up in the river.
