A SEPTA bus stopped short of going over a wall and into a creek after it had already left the highway in Montgomery County on Sunday, 1/19. It happened on the off ramp from the Schuykill Expressway (I-76) at Gulph Mills. The bus went off the road way and down an embankment. Luckily, it came to a rest before the top of a retaining wall. That would have led to a high drop into a creek. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The number of passengers is unknown but there were no injuries reported.

Police are investigating after the body of a man was found in the middle of I-295 E in Bucks County early Sunday morning, 1/18. It happened around 4 a.m. on eastbound I-295 (formerly I-95 N) at mile marker 0.2 in Bensalem. A passing motorist saw the body and thought there had been an accident, but there was no car in the area. The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Joshua McRae of Trenton, New Jersey. He died from multiple gunshots. The highway was shut down for an investigation, but has since reopened. If you have any information contact Pennsylvania State Police at 215-942-3900.

A woman was critically injured after being shot while walking along the street in Strawberry Mansion on Sunday afternoon, 1/19. It happened at 12:30 p.m. on the 2500 block of West Harold Street. The 22-year-old woman was shot once in the stomach. She was taken to Temple University Hospital where she is in critical condition. No arrests have been made.
