One person is dead and two are injured after a triple shooting in the parking lot of a Target store in the city's Wynnefield Heights section. It happened around 9 p.m. on the 4000 block of Monument Road at City Avenue. One man inside an SUV was shot in the face. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men were shot in another SUV. A 31-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the back and a 23-year-old man was shot multiple times in the shoulder. They were both taken to Lankenau Medical Center in stable condition. Police believe there was a fourth person that left the scene. Authorities think this was a drug deal gone bad. They have recovered two guns and four large bags of marijuana. No arrests have been made. If you have any information, call police at 215-686-TIPS.

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Daykwan Carter. He was shot once in the head.

Philadelphia police have arrested a man for two separate murders in South Philadelphia. 18-year-old Tyseem Murray of Southwest Philadelphia is charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, robbery and other related charges in the death of 31-year-old Xiaoding Li. Li was working at the JD Hoyu grocery store, located on 9th and Porter Streets, on January 7th when he was allegedly shot and killed by Murray. He was shot in the chest and later died at Jefferson Hospital. Murray is also charged with the October 2019 murder of 15-year-old Zyqueire Echevarria. Echevarria was allegedly shot and killed by Murray on October 14, 2019, on the 1500 block of South Beulah Street during an argument.

Fire tore through an apartment complex in Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County on Tuesday morning, 1/21. It happened around 9 a.m. at the Sherry Lake Apartments on the 1800 block of Butler Pike. Fire crews arrived to heavy smoke and fire. Residents in all 16 units were evacuated. The roof collapsed on half the building before fire crews could bring it under control. There were no fatalities expect for one pet. The Red Cross is helping 8 displaced families. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
