2 Stabbed Outside Chickie's And Pete's South Philly; Man Shot In Car; PA State Park Tobacco Ban

Police are investigating after two people were stabbed outside of a popular South Philly sports bar on Sunday night, 2/9. It happened around 10 p.m. outside of Chickie's and Pete's on the 1500 block of Packer Avenue. One victim was found at the scene with a stab wound to the abdomen. The second victim was found over a mile away at South 9th and Porter Streets. They have three stab wounds to their stomach and arm. They were taken to the hospital in critical condition. No arrests have been made.

Philadelphia Police are investigating after a man was shot while sitting in his car on Sunday night, 2/9. It happened around 8:45 p.m. at the corner of Robbins and Erdrick Streets in the Wissinoming neighborhood. The 24-year-old man was inside a Nissan Maxima when he was shot in the head. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. No arrests have been made. If you have any information, contact police at 215-686-TIPS.

Pennsylvania has now banned all forms of tobacco, vaping, and e-cigarettes at playgrounds in all state parks. Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn and Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine made the announcement on Friday, February 7th. This is part of the ‘Young Lungs at Play’ program. The goal is to eliminate secondhand exposure to children at the 135 locations in the state’s 121 parks. Signs will be posted by Memorial Day, May 25, 2020.
