Explosives at Philadelphia Airport, Bruce Springsteen, SEPTA bogus crime reports

Philadelphia airport police have arrested a 29 year old man from Dallas PA who tried to go through security carrying some form of explosives this morning. The arrest happened at Terminal D. He was carrying a small amount of fireworks in his backpack and claims he forgot they were there.

Bruce Springsteen rolled into Philadelphia last night to the delight of fans in their 30's to fans in their 60's. The E Street Band was tight for close to 3 hours, including Little Steven Van Zant, Nils Lofgren, Patti Scialfa and Max Weinberg. Springsteen, now 62 years old himself, still puts on a strong performance and will do it again in South Philly tonight. The SEPTA transit police strike is now eight days old and as negotiations continue, SEPTA claims striking police are spreading bogus crime reports. SEPTA is accusing the PR firm hired by the Union of fear-mongering, claiming crmes have increased since the strike began. Both sides are arguing over a 35 cents per hour diffence in certification payment to police.
