The University of Pennsylvania announced that it is canceling this year's on-campus commencement scheduled for May 16 - 18th. Ceremonies will be held virtually. The university is working on plans for the online events and will announce further details in the coming weeks.

Sports
Major League Baseball announced that opening day will be pushed back until at least mid-May due to the CDC's recommendation that there be no gatherings of 50 or more people for 8 weeks.

The official tampering period ahead of NFL free agency has begun. The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly agree to terms with nose tackle Javon Hargrave for three years, $39 million with $26 million guaranteed. Former Eagles offensive lineman Halapoulivaati Vaitai agreed to a five-year, $50 million contract with the Detroit Lions. NFL free agency officially starts at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 18th.
