76er Ben Simmons Creates The Philly Pledge to Encourage Donations During COVID-19, #ThePhillyPledge

Philadelphia 76ers Ben Simmons launched The Philly Pledge to encourage Philadelphians to pitch in and support those in need during the coronavirus COVID-19 crisis. The Philly Pledge is supporting two causes in Philadelphia that are helping those at the front lines supporting and fighting this crisis. The first is Philabundance, the area's largest food bank. The second is the new PHL COVID-19 Fund that will be distributing grants to non-profits that are doing essential work to support the community right now. The Philly Pledge was launched on Friday, March 27, and already has support from prominent Philadelphians like Mayor Jim Kenney, Flyer Claude Giroux, Phillie Rhys Hoskins, Eagle Zach Ertz and USWNT Julie Ertz, Eagle Jalen Mills, DA Larry Krasner, Phillie Andrew Knapp, and Sixer Tobias Harris.

"Through thick and thin, wins and losses, championships or bust, we always come together in a time of need and leave no one behind."

"After all, we ARE the City of Brotherly Love."
