The Democratic National Convention has been postponed from mid-July to mid-August due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. It was originally scheduled for Monday, July 13, through Thursday, July 16. It will now start on Monday, August 17th. The convention will still be held at the at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, WI. Last night, in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said, "I doubt whether the Democratic convention is going to be able to be held in early July, mid-July. I think it's going to have move into August. You just have to be prepared for the alternative, and the alternative - we don't know what it's going to be."

Today, Joe Solmonese, CEO of the Democratic National Convention Committee, said in a news release, "In our current climate of uncertainty, we believe the smartest approach is to take additional time to monitor how this situation unfolds so we can best position our party for a safe and successful convention. During this critical time, when the scope and scale of the pandemic and its impact remain unknown, we will continue to monitor the situation and follow the advice of health care professionals and emergency responders." The Republican National Convention is scheduled for August 24-27 in Charlotte, North Carolina. For more information go to: https://www.demconvention.com
