Governor Phil Murphy has ordered that all flags across New Jersey be lowered to half staff indefinitely in honor of those that have been lost. The City of Ventnor has closed its beaches and boardwalk until further notice. All 4x4 permits are no longer valid for the beach. Violations will be issued a summons and face fines of up to $1,000 and 6 months in jail.

Philadelphia's trash and recycling pickup is being affected by sanitation employees calling out. Mayor Kenney says that they are a day behind, but to put your trash out as usual and it will be picked up. Recycling service will go to every other week. Next week will be an off week for recycling.

Ira Einhorn, the "Unicorn Killer," has died in prison at age 79. The counter-culture figure murdered his ex-girlfriend, Holly Maddux, in 1977. She was found inside a trunk in his apartment 18 month later. After being arrested, Einhorn fled to Europe. He was found in France 23 years later and eventually extradited to face trial. He was convicted in October 2002 and sentenced to life. He was last incarcerated at SCI Laurel Highlands, a minimum security facility near Pittsburgh, due to his health. He died of natural causes.
