Firefighters Deliver Baby, Sunoco Bidders May Save Jobs, Philadelphia County Unhealthiest in PA

A group of Philadelphia firefighters came to the rescue of a pregnant woman and husband who could not make it to the hospital for their baby's delivery. The crew from Engine Company 58 delivered the baby in the back seat of John and Natalie Bojanowski's Hyundai right outside the firehouse. Mom and baby were taken to Holy Redeemer Hospital where they are doing just fine.

There may be hope for saving hundreds of jobs at the Sunoco refinery. An industry trade report claims that 4 different bidders have their sights set on the refinery and submitted bids before yesterday's deadline. With several bids, it is likely the plant will now stay open past the planned July 1st shutdown.

Philadelphia has been ranked the UN-healthiest county in the state of Pennsylvania. According to an annual study, Philly placed 67th out of 67 counties thanks to higher than average smoking, inactivity and obesity rates. Maybe we should skip a cheese steak this week.
