The National Weather Service has issued Tropical Storm Warnings for the New Jersey coast and Flood Watches inland starting early Friday morning and lasting until Friday night. Tropical Storm Fay has developed off the coast of North Carolina and is moving slowly north. Forecasters are calling for winds between 35-45 mph with gusts over 50 mph. Heavy rains of 2-4 inches with more locally could produce flooding. Philadelphia and other areas inland will also experience high winds and heavy rains. Flash flooding is possible. Strong thunderstorms or tornadoes are also possible. For more information on current watches and warnings, go to:

Vice President Mike Pence and Former Vice President Joe Biden both campaigned in Pennsylvania on Thursday, 7/9. Pence stopped in Lancaster County, Malvern, and Philadelphia for various campaign rallies and fundraisers. He spoke to the FOP Lodge 5 at a 'Back the Blue' rally in Philadelphia. Biden visited an iron works plant in Dunmore near his hometown of Scranton in northeast PA. He announced a $700 billion recovery plan aimed at the middle class.

A man was shot and injured and two others were hurt during a home invasion in Manayunk on Wednesday night, 7/8. It happened around 11:15 p.m. on the 300 block of Burnside Street near the intersection of Manayunk Ave and Shurs Lane. Three men wearing ski masks broke into the home with three men inside. A 36-year-old man was shot in the back. One other man was pistol whipped. The shooting victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

The Philadelphia Union took the pitch on Thursday morning, 7/9, for their first match of the MLS is Back Tournament being held in a "bubble" at the ESPN World Wide of Sports Complex in Bay Lake, Florida. The Union players came out for the team photos wearing black warmup shirts that read "Black Lives Matter." They then removed the tops and turned around for another photo revealing that they had replaced their names on their jerseys with the last names of victims of police brutality. The names included (Breonna) Taylor, (John) Crawford, (Eric) Garner, (Alton) Sterling and (Tamir) Rice. The shirts also said "Our players stand together, One name too many." The Union beat NYC FC 1-0.
