Missing Philly 9yo Boy Anjy Senat; Phillies Test Neg, Citizens Bank Park Open; Block Party Stopped

The Philadelphia Police are asking the public's help in finding a missing boy. 9-year-old Anjy Senat was last seen at his home around 7 p.m. Friday, 7/31, on the 2800 block of Walnut Hill Street in the Holmes Circle section of Northeast Philadelphia. He is described as 4'1", 90 pounds, a thin build, medium brown complexion, brown eyes, and black hair. He was wearing an orange shirt and gray pants. Anjy may have been riding a green BMX bicycle. If you have any information, contact Northeast Detective Division at 215-686-3153 or dial 911.

UPDATE: Missing 9-year-old Anjy Senat has been found reunited with family.

The Philadelphia Phillies announced on Saturday, 8/1, that there have been no new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 on the team among players or staff for the second straight day. Players will be allowed to access Citizens Bank Park for staggered workouts again beginning this afternoon. Earlier this week, a member of the Phillies visiting clubhouse staff had tested positive after working with the Miami Marlins during last week's series in Philadelphia. 20 players and staff on Miami have since tested positive. Access to Citizens Bank Park had been restricted on Thursday after a Philadelphia coach and a member of the home clubhouse staff tested positive. The Phillies home-and-home series this past week against the New York Yankees had been postponed as well as this weekend's series against the Toronto Blue Jays. The Phillies are next scheduled to play Miami in Florida on Tuesday, but that may change.

Philadelphia Police had to break up another large block party early Saturday morning, 8/1, in Strawberry Mansion. Authorities were called to the scene around 2 a.m. on the 2500 block of North 33rd Street in Strawberry Mansion for the report of a man with a gun. Instead, they found 300-400 people dancing in the street. Most were not wearing masks and definitely not practicing social distancing. More officers were called in to help break up the party. At one point a man jumped on top of a police cruiser and damaged the hood and broke the windshield. No arrests were made. A similar crowd was dispersed last weekend just a few blocks away. Philadelphia officials have put a moratorium on issuing permits for block parties until next year. Outdoor crowds of over 50 are explicitly banned.

The MLB and MLBPA agreed on Friday, 7/31, that in the event that a double header is scheduled to make up a game, both games of the twin bill will be shortened to 7-innings. The decision was made in the 'interest of player health and safety.' The shortened season already does not have many off days. Considering how many games have been missed due to coronavirus during the first week, there will probably be quite a few double headers scheduled to make up postponed contests. If a game is tied after 7 innings, the extra innings rules apply, meaning a runner is placed on second to start each half inning.
