Baby Found Alive in Morgue, Warehouse Fire Investigation, PECO Warns About South Philadelphia Burgla

An Argentine baby born 3 months premature and declared dead by the hospital was found alive 12 hours later in a refrigerated morgue. The baby's mother and father insisted on seeing the baby and when they opened the coffin they found the preemie whimpering and moving. The baby is progressing and has been named Luz Milagros – translation, “Miracles”.

The investigation continues into the cause of the deadly Kensington warehouse blaze. Mayor Nutter has ordered an L&I review of all 30 properties owned by the Brooklyn brothers.

Police are warning residents to beware of burglars posing as PECO employees. Several incidents have been reported in South Philadelphia where the burglars showed up unannounced saying PECO needed to check faulty outlets then stole cash and jewelry. PECO says they never show up unannounced.
