Philadelphia is flirting with record warmth today pushing toward 90 degrees. The record high in Philadelphia was 90 degrees, set in 1992. You may need the AC tonight. The low overnight only cools down to 66.

More closures were announced this weekend by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. By July 1st 12 parishes will be merged into 5. Many of the buildings will remain open during a transition period for weddings, funerals and other special services.

Police shot a 19 year old man in Drexel Hill this morning who had called 911 and said he planned to kill his mother, brother, then himself. Police got the mother and brother out then were confronted by the 19 year old swinging an ax. Police shot him twice and he is in critical condition at University of Pennsylvania Hospital.
