Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney announced a phased reopening of schools to hybrid learning following a mediation process between the School District of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Federation of Teachers. 53 schools will reopen on Monday, March 8, to PreK through 2nd Grade students who selected hybrid learning last fall. Teachers and support staff at those schools will report this Wednesday, March 3. Schools will continue to open in waves each week. New groups of schools will be announced each Monday. Teachers would then report two days later on Wednesday to those buildings. Students would return the next Monday. There is no word on when higher grades will start to return to classes. See list of schools below.
