Philadelphia Police have arrested a man accused of attacking and yelling racist remarks at a 64-year-old Asian man in the Chinatown neighborhood on Tuesday night, 4/6. It happened around 7:40 p.m. on the 300 block of N. 10th Street. Police were called by multiple people about the suspect attacking the man. When they arrived, officers had to use a Tazer on the suspect. He was taken to Jefferson University Hospital for an evaluation. No word yet on charges or the suspect's identity. The victim was not injured. The incident remains under investigation.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating after a historic plaque and statue were stolen from a trail in Delaware County. The bronze statue of a beaver and trail marker were taken from the Minquas Indian Trail near Rose Valley Road and Traymore Lane sometime between 5:00 p.m. on April 4 and 5:00 p.m. on April 5. It dates back to 1926. The trail was an old fur trading route. Area pawn shops and scrap metal agencies have been alerted. Rose Valley Boro is offering a $5,000 reward for the return of the items. If you have any information, contact police. See photo below.

Philadelphia health officials say that all Philadelphians 16 and older will become eligible to receive the coronavirus COVID-19 vaccine on April 19. That is ahead of the city's previous May 2 estimate, but is now in line with the rest of Pennsylvania and meets the expectations of President Joe Biden. Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley announced on Tuesday, 4/6, that all groups in Phase 1C will be eligible on April 12. It will open up to everyone a week later. "The Health Commissioner cautioned that not everyone who is eligible will be able to get vaccinated right away due to limited supply," the city said in a statement. You may have to wait a while after you make an appointment, but everyone will be able to get in line in two weeks.
