The Cape May County Prosector's Office is now investigating allegations into sexually harassing and predatory behavior by members of the Ocean City Beach Patrol. An account was created on Instagram this week called @OCBP_predators that has been accepting and posting stories of victims. There have been 158 posts. The allegations come from other members of the beach patrol and beach patrons. "The city has strict sexual harassment policies and procedures in place and acts immediately on every reported complaint. I have directed Fire Chief Jim Smith to build on existing policies and do whatever it takes to ensure employees feel safe coming forward. I want to continue to make sure all our city team members work in a safe environment," said Mayor Jay Gillian in a statement.

A Department of Treasury building in Northeast Philadelphia received a package of inert grenades last week. The Bureau of Fiscal Services, located on the 12800 block of Townsend Road, got a UPS package on Thursday morning, 4/15. When it went through the X-ray machine, there appeared to be six to eight grenades inside. The building was then evacuated. Officials determined that they were inert and the scene was cleared. No word on where the package came from and to whom it was addressed.

Philadelphia Police are investigating a double shooting in Kensington on Sunday afternoon, 4/18. It happened around 4 p.m. near Amber Street and East Birch Street. A 17-year-old girl was in the kitchen of her home when she was struck in the back by a stray bullet. She was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and is in stable condition. A 25-year-old male was shot twice in the abdomen. He was taken to the hospital and is also in stable condition. An arrest has been made.

Sports
Philadelphia Phillies P Aaron Nola pitched his first 9-inning shutout on Sunday, 4/18, in a 2-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Nola struck out 10 with 0 walks. He only gave up 2 hits in the outing. Last season, he did throw two doubleheader-shortened 7-inning complete games, including 1 shutout. This is the first time he even pitched into the ninth inning. The Phillies take on the San Fransisco Giants for a series starting Monday night, 4/19. This is the first time former Phillies manager Gabe Kapler will return to Citizens Bank after being fired following the 2019 season.
