Philadelphia Police released a photo of a teenage suspect wanted for sexually assaulting a woman at knifepoint for three hours inside her home last month. It happened around 2:30 a.m. on the 400 block of South 45th Street. The teen, around 16-years-old, broke into the woman's apartment and sexually assaulted her multiple times over a three-hour period. He left through a basement window. The victim says the suspect told her he was 16-years-old and even told her his social media name. That is where police were able to find the photo. He does not identify himself further on the page.

He is described as a Black male, dark skin, 150-160 pounds, 5'9"-5'10", with a thin muscular build, brown eyes and possibly wearing green contact lenses, with braids in his hair that come down to his eyebrows. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white tank top, gray sweatpants with black zippers and black sneakers. He may have cut or dyed his hair.

Anyone with information on the suspect should contact Central Detective Division: 215-685-3264/3266 Det. Kahlan.

Philadelphia officials are expected to announce the city's coronavirus COVID-19 reopening timeline at the weekly briefing on Tuesday, 5/11, at 1 p.m. Last week, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced that all restrictions in the state, except mask wearing, will be lifted on May 31. However, local jurisdictions could still enact tougher restrictions. Philadelphia has always been slower to lift restrictions that the rest of the state. Last week, Philadelphia Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley said the city would have to review the state's plans and wasn't ready to lift all restrictions yet. New Jersey and Delaware have similar reopening plans to Pennsylvania.

Martin Luther King Drive will be reopening to vehicular traffic Monday through Friday starting August 1st. The drive along the west banks of the Schuylkill was closed to all motor vehicles in March 2020 at the start of the pandemic to give people more space to exercise and social distance. It will still be shut down on weekends through October for recreation as usual.

A wrecking ball was brought out to the bring down the remains of St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church on Monday afternoon, 5/10, in Tacony. Fire had destroyed most of the historic church on Sunday evening, 5/9, but left the front stone facade still freestanding. It was deemed unsafe by L&I and had to be knocked down. Investigators had yet to get inside to try and determine the fire's cause. The church had been build in 1884. In 2013, the parish merged with Our Lady of Consolation Parish. This building had been used a worship site until it was closed in January 2019. It had been designated on Philadelphia's historical registry. The church was sold about a month ago.
