Philadelphia funk favorite Johnny Showcase took to the America's Got Talent stage on Tuesday night, 6/8, along with his spiritual advisor Rumi Kitchen and female singers The Truth. Johnny was dressed in his signature blue bell bottom jumpsuit and gold chains. Judge Heidi Klum commented that "Finally, someone came dressed for the party!" The rest of the judges seemed confused or not impressed during the interview segment, but that all changed as soon as Johnny started performing.

Johnny and fellows performed the soulful and comical original "Sensual." They received a great reaction from the crowd and definitely surprised the judges. Judge Simon Cowell said, "You were so annoying, and then act started and it was brilliant! One of my favorite acts this year." They received a Yes vote from all four judges to move on to the next round. Johnny performs with his 10-piece band called The Mystic Ticket that was unable to travel to this round of auditions. The band recorded the backing track used during the show.
