Authorities in Bucks County are searching for a retail thief caught on surveillance video stealing from the self-checkout line at an area Lowe's. It happened on Saturday, 6/19, at the hardware store on the 3400 block of Horizon Boulevard in Trevose. Bensalem Police say that the suspect switched the barcode on a $400 Dyson vacuum cleaner for a much cheaper item. He then went to the self-checkout and scanned the cheaper barcode. The man ended up paying $24.99 for the vacuum. An employee tried to stop him, but the man fled in a newer model blue Volkswagen SUV with no license plate. If you have any information, contact Bensalem Police at (215) 633-3719.

Two New jersey State Troopers helped rescue a dog from Barnegat Bay over two weeks since it had ran off from its owners. The 3-year-old golden retriever named Chunk had gone missing from Brick, NJ, on June 6. Its owners, Jim and Marie Zangara, said they were playing a game of fetch when the dog got spooked by something and ran off into the woods. They had been searching ever since, including setting traps and putting out posters. Troopers Ryan Koehler and Vincent Ferdinandi, of Point Pleasant Station, responded to a report of a dog swimming in the bay. They were able to capture and identify Chunk and then return him to the Zangaras. The dog needed a little cleaning and grooming, but overall was healthy.

Delaran, NJ-native Carli Lloyd will be heading to her fourth Olympic games next month in Tokyo. Lloyd will be 39-years-old before their opening match against Japan on Jul 21, making her the oldest woman to play for the Olympic national team. Tobin Heath is also 38 and attending her fourth Olympics. Julie Ertz, wife of Philadelphia Eagles TE Zack Ertz, is currently injured, but expected to be recovered in time for the Tokyo Games.
