Two people were injured during an accident involving a police K-9 cruiser and an SUV in Egg Harbor Township last night. After the collision, the K9 cruiser veered off the road and ended up in the woods. This incident remains under police investigation.

A Philadelphia Police officer was taken to the hospital after being assaulted during a routine traffic stop last night at 2nd and Linton Street. A black male, armed with a handgun, punched the officer, attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended without incident. The injured officer suffered lacerations to his mouth, face and hand.

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter was joined by a number of local leaders, and Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden for a Pro-Obama rally, and to encourage Philadelphians to get out and vote in the Pennsylvania primary. Mayor Nutter had a lot of praise for the Obama Administration for federal assistance given to the city, but took major issue with the state’s new voter ID law. Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden spent his time focused on the Republican Candidates, namely Mitt Romney, saying he’s the wrong man for the job.
